The SWEEPSAVER is the first-of-its-kind tool that eliminates the struggle of cutting a shower door water diverter sweep quickly and evenly.
The raceway is the channel at the bottom of the tool.
Cutting vents are the slits found on the front of the SWEEPSAVER. The bottom vent is 1/8”, each vent after that is an additional 1/16”.
A unibody component made up of dual durometer material.
Yes, a SWEEPSAVER uses a #9 or #12. We prefer a #12. It is a thicker more stable blade for a more controlled cut.
If there is too much down pressure (drag friction) the tool will not glide. Resistance occurs when the SWEEPSAVER is not flush with the sweep. The SWEEPSAVER was built to act as a straight line plane. Make sure the tool is flush with the sweep.
Most common cause: Something is stuck in the raceway.
Other possible causes: The razor blade is dull or the SWEEPSAVER is not parallel to the sweep.
We recommend a new razor blade for every 1-2 jobs which is equivalent to two cuts per blade corner.
Use a thin awl or pick and slide it in the raceway.
After every use - always check raceway for obstruction.
